The Wellington Missionary Parish of St George

We’ll be back soon!

Sorry for the inconvenience but we’re performing some maintenance at the moment. If you need to you can always contact us, otherwise we’ll be back online shortly!

The Wellington mission was formally started in 2000 following the visit by Thrice Blessed Memory, Metropolitan Paul, the Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand, though the reposed Fr Jack Witbrock had been visiting Wellington approximately monthly since April 1999.

Byzantine Rite Services are normally held twice a month on the first and third Sundays of the month. The Byzantine rite liturgy is usually the liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, but in Lent that of Saint Basil.
